Former president Stacey Austin, managing director of Doncaster-based Boxes and Packaging, handed the role over to Kelvin during the chamber’s annual general meeting this month. During his two year tenure, Kelvin said he hopes to see an increase in the number of members using chamber services. He also aims to build upon the ethos that Doncaster businesses should try and work more closely together. He said: “I acknowledge the challenge in fulfilling this objective and embrace it with the same enthusiasm that Edward Smith of Smith Craven did back in 1941 when he helped establish Doncaster Chamber.”
